Seymore1721; It would be best for you to call Schwab and ask what their policy is about lending out your EWSI shares for shorting. DeeDog gave you a pretty good answer in post 17686. My account is with Interactive Brokers. Even though it is a margin account, my shares cannot be loaned out unless I am actually using margin (the broker's money) to buy stock. If you have a margin account, the same situation may exist a Schwab, but you have to ask to be sure. Good luck.
