My point is there is a clause in that press release that effectively says, that if Vrng is awarded damages from google that are substantially more than what they have been previously awarded = 30 million,

then the cap falls away and something else (which is not specified publicly) will be owed by msft.

i personally believe you are misinterpreting it if you read it as the max from msft is 30 million, the 30 million has nothing to do with msft.
