Amazing to see the Bible unfolding before our eyes isn't it? New Testament prophecies have been fulfilled, waiting for the OT now.
We were talking about this in Sunday school yesterday. Our teacher is a prophecy scholar and he is very excited and concerned about what is happening around the world these days.
It is a blessing to have my eyes opened to these events and what they mean from an eternal perspective.
Our teacher was speaking of those whom God will "blind" to the meaning of these events.
Another point that was made that we can correlate to the events of today is that for centuries after the Gospel was fulfilled is the Catholic Church held deep resentment for the Jewish people because the crucified the Messiah. Odd given the fact that if you believe that Jesus was 100% man and 100% God, As I know in my heart without any doubt is the case, He actually had to "hold on to the nails" to be crucified. Never heard it put that way and love that analogy. The Jews did not kill Christ, He laid down His life for the sin of the world for all time.
Say all that to say this even the so called believers will be led astray by the prince of the power of the air. Generally through doubt. Been there and have the t-shirt. Not a good place.
Oh, and another thing that should give all believers a tremendous amount of hope and allay any worries about earthly events in the end days, the church, and I did not know this, is never mentioned after the 3rd chapter of Revelations. Significant because after that is when God starts to reveal coming judgement for the people who have rejected Him.
Looks like it's going to be a bumpy ride from here on out but who knows?
I do know one thing, God will not be mocked, and it is we as Christians who should be ashamed and afraid. We have lost our fear of the Lord, which according to Him is the beginning of wisdom and that will not stand.
