Sure there is. When ERHC disclosed and bragged about their massive accomplishment in winning the JDZ blocks, they were introduced to the DOJ, IRS, and Homeland Security. There is no doubt in my mind that those probes were political favors to big oil. They've played their cards very close ever since to avoid a repeat.
