Just finished off a 2000 Cabernet Franc from Laurel Lake Vineyards of Long Island NY. Very Nice. It was part 2 of a Xmas present from my daughter, the other was a 2000 Merlot, also quite nice. I suspect the combination cost something like $40, perhaps more, but I find it hard to image a wine that costs 10x more to be 10x better. Maybe it's just my peasant palate...
