I have posted once in the 3 years i have owned the stock and never once emailed the company until about a week ago as I hadn't realized that Jim had died. Well I did some research and found his obituary and from what I read Jim was quite the innovator and had his hands on a lot of forward thinking projects and appeared to be tops in his field. So losing him is a huge blow and not knowing really anything about the others that are currently employed, which appears to be limited when you look at Jim's resume.
I wrote an email that basically said I was sorry for their loss and it has to be a huge blow to the company and wondered being an investor if they could continue on and if there were things in the works and would appreciate a reply as if there were things in the pipeline I would rather continue on with my investment and see how it plays out.
I am a little concerned with the lack of information from the company and it appears that a number of companies are benefiting from DME with working vehicles like Volvo and they have to be using someones innovations to be able to use this fuel source. I know that Korea bought some pumps, but as far as I know it wasn't a large order.
Every picture or article that has anything to with AFTC is Jim McCandless either mentioned or pictured. Would be nice to see someone else in the picture or mentioned somewhere.
Even his death wasn't mentioned on the company website with a confirmation of the quality of people left behind to pick up the pieces and have no worries.
I have not received anything in response and really don't believe I will, but why? You don't have to say what you are working on but you could at the very least say, "yes we are still in business and the passing of Jim was huge and he will be hard to be replaced, but his legacy will continue on and we have things we are working on and feel good about the future. Due to the nature of our business being research and developement nothing is certain and is speculative and therefore the future is unpredictable".
I am holding on for now, but i have to be honest it bordering the "sketchy" area for me and I do realize that is why the company dwells in the sub penny area also.
