PowerShares India Portfolio (the Fund) is based on the Indus India Index (Index). The Fund focuses to invest at least 90% of its total assets in securities, which consists the Index and American depository receipts (ADRs) based on the securities in the Index. The Index is designed to replicate the Indian equity markets as a whole, through a group of 50 Indian stocks selected from a universe of the companies listed on two Indian exchanges. The India Index has 50 constituents, which include information technology, health services, financial services, heavy industry and consumer products. The Funds sectors allocations include consumers discretionary, consumer staples, energy, financials, healthcare, industrials, information technology, materials and telecommunication services. Invesco PowerShares Capital Management LLC serves as investment adviser the Fund.
