Of course! All you need to do is insert a PC Card with 802.11x wireless and disable whatever is internal. They start at about $50. Now, if you are asking whether the internal solution can be upgraded via software or BIOS update, I am not so sure. One salesman at the Gateway store assured me that I could, but I have not seen this documented anywhere, so I remain skeptical (you know how salesmen are...).
