BGMO provided several articles from friends in Ministry that talked of the need for 100,000s of pipe pumps in Pakistan and that solar pumps were great solution that didn't use diesel.
Anyone trying to do business in Pakistan would benefit from showing customers a completed operating system so they can kick the tires, so to speak. A demo is also good way to get attention, free publicity (advertising), gain credibility with customers, and gain experience.
In the solar pump case, there is still need for meaningful on-site civil works, design, electrical integration, permitting, etc., so it's more than just ordering equipment from a catalog.
