My partner subscribed to a market research report about 9 months ago. The report cost $2995.00, but to read the report cost another $1000.00. It must have been an important report for all of that money.

I remember reading one chapter regarding diabetes management systems where the report stated that there is an unmet need for an all-in-one remote meter system that can be carried by the diabetic to long meetings, lunch and dinner appointments and during travel where using all of the commonly available meters require 3-4 different devices to produce a result. They called this slice of the market "remote personal testing."

The most fascinating part of the report was where they listed the features necessary for success:

1. meter must be very small, cigarette lighter in size to it in a pocket.
2. meter must be capable of pre-loading 3 or more testing strips
3. meter must be capable of transmitting glucose results after testing to a smart phone or laptop automatically
4. meter must sell for $20.00 or less so that the user may choose not to seek insurance reimbursement

Is this the type of device you are referring to Value?
