I wasn't talking about terrorist... I was talking about Syria which is a sovereign nation. What happened to diplomacy? For instance....
in the very early 1900's Teddy Roosevelt was very concerned about a blockade that Britain and Germany had around Venezeula. He was concerned that it could lead to an invasion and Germany, in particular, claiming large chunks of terrority on the American Continent. Did he go out in public with a chip on his shoulder and try to intimidate Germany and embarrass them? No. He quietly, through diplomatic channels told them he'd kick their butt if they tried anything like that and suggest mediation. He reminded them that they didn't have enough ships in the area to compete with what we had. He set a deadline. Guess what? Germany and Britain both complied because they could do so without losing face publicly.
