I learned something new this week. It IS possible to mourn the death of somebody that you never actually knew.

Before I say more, please let me apologize in advance if this is offensive to anybody in any way. But I felt compelled to post it here simply because we all have lost people that we love and many many times in very tragic ways.

I never "knew" Martin Manley by that name. I knew him as "lentinman" on the internet, one of his two nicknames that he now says he used on the internet. I met him online many years ago on a website called Investorshub.com.
It is an investors message board where people talk about stock investments.

Lentinman was always the very most highly analytical poster on InvestorsHub.
Before this week I never knew that he was a sports writer from Kansas. And I never knew his personal life in any way.

Martin Manley committed suicide on August 15, 2013, on his 60th Birthday. I have never understood why people would want to do such a thing. Hell, I WANT TO LIVE FOREVER!!!! But Martin took the time to create the following website that he used to document his own reasons for making this decision.

I regret never having met Martin in person now. I don't have to wish for him to Rest In Peace, because his own prewritten suicide website already assures me that he is.
