I've launched several brand name drugs in different specialities and we haven't had a single television ad and they have been successful. I agree scrips must advertise and market properly to achieve brand recognition. The ways you mentioned that rapimeds will do mainly in store promotion makes the most sense. They have a revamped website, twitter an Facebook presence that I expect will begin to be used more furtively. In a generic market just being on the shelf is a big step to being successful. Most consumers are not strongly committed to one brand. If a genetic is considered equivalent and at a good price point there is a chance the consumer leaves with that product.
