You always forget about Linux, Unix, AIX, TruUnix, COS, etc. These were 64 bits before AMD specified AMD64. Linux was running AMD64 when Opteron was released. For you, if it doesn't say Microsoft or Apple, it doesn't exist. Well I was running UNIX System 7 on PDP-11 before there was any Microsoft OS (DOS 1.0). IIRC, SCO Xenix was running on Altos 586 (8086) multiuser and multitasking before MS released DOS 1.0. I was running 32 bit Unix on 386s before Microsoft (or Apple IIRC) had a 32 bit OS. I ran 64 bit UNIX (called OSF at the time) on Alpha before Itanium was even specified to the public.

So you don't know what you are talking about. Like always.
