Yes, once you know the how and why you can say MHz. But when the rumor started, before the author replied with the how and why, it was a rumor about GHz.

Call it wishfull thinking or slide-rule mentality. Most people will convert the numbers to what their mind says is the proper scale.

Luckily he used Pi so the number is arbitrary or we would have to wade through hundreds of messages interpreting the significance of the latest "sighting"
