UP-DOWN--a very fair post I think. Couple of things though to add and that is that without ERHC involvement back in the day, there would be NO JDZ. ERHC got the UN involved and and was key to creating the treaty. Also, I'll bet you a share that that the split would not be 60/40 but more like an 89/10 but for ERHC in the early days. Oh yeah, and there would not be XOM involved either w/o ERHC involvement; and there would have een no seismic studies either w/o ERHC.

Now even w/all that, I suppose a good argument can be made that our deal is still too good. That may be true; however, do not underestimate the role ERHC played in the early days.
