You know, you've made me remember some wonderful things about Oklahoma ... ;) .. yeah, well maybe wonderful is the wrong word .. but never - the - less .. ;) .......How about Pretty Boy Floyd? ... distributing food to the people who had none .. during the thirties .. buying 'sports stuff' for the kids at school ... ;) .........Oh yes, He was a local Hero! .. I'm not sure if it was Sallisaw (but they claimed him) or where? ... but the tales of Pretty Boy Floyd flourished .. ;) and there are a million of them .. and they appear to be passed down? ... ;) .......I wonder if he still has the record for the biggest funeral attendance in I guess it was Oklahoma ? ...;) .......not sure just read it was huge! ........there he'd come speeding like crazy over the Arkansas border .... . .and every house he saw in Oklahoma (in that area) ... He had a friend .......;) ............It seems as if we don't have any criminals like Pretty Boy anymore, ... if we did, I have a feeling that he would even be more popular NOW then he was then ... ;) .........Oh I wish I could hear some of those stories ....when everyone was hiding out Floyd ........;) .. I bet there were big smiles of Pride when the talk got to his generosity and love of his home ... .;) I even read that when he was around at times you could see him at a local junior high football game .. . that was hard to believe .. but lets face it .. .law enforcement was a little different back then .. ;) .......
