Urgent care centers are about convenience and after hours care. The profit potential in medicine is currently about ancillary services, labs, Xray otherwise you are just selling a doctors or physician assistant/nurse practioners time. Markup/Margin on time is always more difficult. Don't know of any sellers of doctors time companies that have ever made it as a public company. CGHC's might generate some spin if they can aggregate enough Urgent Care Centers to create some mass and then sell out to an Insurance Company. The online technology side of the business might allow them to sell some bundled after hours care services to some accountable care organizations looking to reduce hospital admissions.
