To the PBLS longs/I have just finished a two day visit with Ron, & Paul and met many of the staff at the Phoenix office. Ron picked me up up at the airport as I had just made a long flight from my home in Hong Kong, with 3 stops along the way. I am now at DFW airport in Dallas, and must run for the gate to get my flight to LAX and Hong Kong tonight.

My trip was long but well worth it. I'll post more after getting back to Hong Kong. What I can say now is I was very impressed and will be adding another 2 million shares.
More later.

mastercreaf7/With regards to your comments about the Army Corp of Engineers, the day that Johnny Zornes was taking me on a drive through Murphy Sand & Gravel, he mentioned that someone from the Army Corp Of Engineers had called him, and they were to meet the next day, as the Army Corp was interested in getting sand and gravel from them, as they are about 15 miles closer that the competition's pit. I was also taken to see the competition's pit some 15 miles further away. Let's hope that they can make a deal.

buds1own: Kimac is Mac from my 12.26 newsletter. I have a picture of him with Ron, he's the real deal.

Now from the Jan.1 2006 article. From The Times-Picayune..
http://www.nola.com/news/t-p/frontpage/index.ssf?/base/news-4/1136101328176420.xml

Last week Congress approved a $29 billion hurricane recovery package for new spending on hurricane protection in Louisiana and other Gulf Coast states clobbered by Katrina.

Corps officials have estimated that as much as $2.9 billion of that could be earmarked for the New Orleans region, most of it for levee improvements to include stepped-up levee construction in St. Charles Parish and West Jefferson, where levee-building started years later than in Orleans Parish and East Jefferson.

Funding was approved last week or so of December......

and the Corps has 5 months to get it done.

Corps fighting clock to fix levees
Can the Army Corps of Engineers restore the levees to at least pre-Katrina strength in the five months before the next hurricane season kicks in?
"It won't be pretty or permanent, but it will work," Bea said, "and it can be done by June 1."

Implications for PBLS.....The Murphy pit is close to the location of the levee rebulding project, we have access to trucks to move the material from orgin to destination, we have a truck scale at orgin to accurately weigh and record materials shipped to destination, we have a long-standing working relationship with Boh Bros., one of the largest contractors in the New Orleans area and Boh Bros. has a long-standing and current working relationship with the Corps, and we are a local firm with available land at the pit which could be expanded for more immediate production.

Everyone play it the way you see fit...but I think there is an Army coming over the hill and they're going to have a major impact on the PPS. Just speculation on my part, after connecting some dots. Kelly
