You may be right to get out, but...

the company is definitely not a "scam". Misguided, poorly managed... you could probably say these things and it would be hard to argue. But, definitely not a scam.

As for China, when I spoke to Paulo a couple of weeks ago, I asked him why them seem to be focusing on foreign markets, like China, when they've already successfully sold units right in their own backyard over the past 6-7 years. Paulo said, while they aren't abandoning the US (they've got interesting plans for increasing sales in California), that one of the reasons for adding Edward Nixon and John Gong - along with himself - was to specifically attack foreign markets that have an even greater need for the products than the US. And, things can happen much quicker in other countries than they can in the US. It's often much easier to sell in a country like China than in, say, New York or California because you generally don't have to cut thru all the bureaucratic nonsense.

While I can't fault anyone for worrying about whether or not Eco-Safe is ever going to be successful, I think that people should write Paulo their your concerns first and ask him if he'll please give you a call back. That way, people can vent their frustrations directly to the company and possibly find out some things that they don't already know.
