7 movies:

1. It's all Gone Pete Tong - could not get past first five minutes.

2. Imaginary Heroes - some good moments but basically... well, it was disposable. 2.5/5

3. 1900 - Holy mackerel, what a mess. It's like Bertolucci picked names out of a hat instead of hiring a casting director. I was expecting Bruce Lee to jump out onto the screen as Rigoletto in a handlebar mustache. 2.5/5 because it was fascinating as a curiosity.

4. Lawrence of Arabia - very good movie but some goofy stuff because of when it was made. Anthony Quinn as an Arab warlord chews up the scene, as usual. He is not a great actor but I've loved him in some roles regardless, for instance... as Gauguin in Lust for Life. Anyway, the voice Alec Guinness used for the prince was silly. He sounded like Peter Sellers doing a spoof on something. Omar Sharif was wonderful. O'Toole as Lawrence was great, for the most part. In the end, while going mad, he looked more like someone from a silent movie being overly dramatic but hey, it's a hard role to play. The scenes are magnificent. 3.75/5

5. The Up Side of Anger - no reason for this movie to be made except to marvel at how amazing Joan Allen looked. Without her I wouldn't have cared about one single thing or another character. She wasn't even that great, just hot. 2.5/5

6. Miracle (just saw it) - WOW! I LOVED this movie. Kurt Russel was perfect, amazing and I always love Clarkson (Station Agent). The boys on the team were all utterly believable and I was on the edge of my chair for the last fifteen minutes of the film even knowing the outcome. Loved this movie, though it wasn't a perfectly made movie, some things were left out that I would have wanted to know but still... 4/5

7. The Great Santini (saw it last night)... it was okay. It was just okay with some interesting moments but I'd not have missed much had I never seen it. 3/5
