because the general public does not know or understand the full picture.

Since 9/11 it has become obvious that the Federal Government knows less than nothing. They still can't coordinate the various databases to know where the terrorists are who enter this country. Immigration does not know what Homeland Security thinks it knows and vice-versa.

Did you really mean "the liberties you still have"? Because they are being eroded?

but my hope is that this political conversation finds its way to more suitable board.
