During the Amarant era, there was a poster who popped up briefly on MP who was identified as an employee in Peru-based Volcan Mining (the largest copper producer in Peru and 5th largest silver producer in the world) who was intimately familiar with Medinah and ADL. He confirmed that Volcan was involved in the original negotiations to JV ADL back in late 2011. Some people vetted him out and confirmed that he was indeed with Volcan. My feeling is that if someone from a former bidding company wishes to post publicly in stock forums and provide a perspective from the other side of the negotiation table, as a shareholder in MDMN I'm all for it. However, if I were a principal in Volcan I don't think I'd be too happy about it. In addition, in the world of cyber-anonymity I also take it with a grain of salt as I believe everybody should. Purportedly the Volcan poster is no longer with the company, but I have no way of determining if that is true or not.

I believe that if the Volcan poster was legit, then it wouldn't be too far of a stretch to speculate that they are involved in the current round of negotiations. Whether someone has more concrete evidence than that, I'm personally not aware of.

FWIW, Medinah never confirmed or denied that Volcan was or is involved in the negotiations and they would probably default to the disclaimer that only information released through their website or PRs should be considered reliable.

Whether any of this is true or not is up to the reader to determine. It certainly doesn't affect the share price one way or the other at this time, IMO.
