It means the OBV or on balance volume, despite the trading price and action, is net accumulation by a very nice and tidy sum.

Sort of still bolsters my guess that major houses and institutions are accumulating within friendly favored status range.

Have seen it before in other stocks on top of promising news, where the stock didn't SELL on news, but jumped, consolidated, then ran after news.

The consolidation period was shortly followed (weeks to month) by major house coverage of the stock.

What houses tend to do is accumlate in the consolidation period (when they feel a stock has merit and street attention) and at pivot points that drive swing and retail and daytraders schizoid (like the "magic $4..lol) on the 'cheap', then they come out with coverage and sell their cheap inventory to their own retail investors into the rising share price that occurs because of their recommendations.

Slick game, played all the time.

Reason I asked anyone with Level III to identify houses, market makers in this stock for me.

That will be a clue to who is likely to start or initiate coverage in GTE.
