I really didn't want to get into this. It's somehow rather silly to me but your post #163 is the first mention of some kind of order. It was delivered as a proclamation. I was busy with end of the semester stuff so once I set the date and wine for first tasting, I asked Raz to watch over things til I could be more present. I know him well and am in touch with him so he was my logical choice. If you read post #81, this is how you presented your interest in the board to me. Consequently, I bought 150$ worth of wine to try out for some logical sequence of tastings. I'd been trying them out when I noticed you setting up rules as to how subsequent tastings would proceed. I really am not interested in conflict or demanding that I at least be considered but you did say that you were not interested in being the moderator or in making any decisions here. That is why I took the position. I offered it to you again and you declined. I didn't ask to be the moderator, I accepted the post.
With what time I had during finals and grading I chose a wine for the first tasting and bought a dozen other bottles that I thought would make for an interesting sequence. I made sure they were all affordable and accessible. By the time I was free to participate more I had no idea where you were coming from. People did complain, btw. I simply did not have it in me at that point to do so. I really am not interested in imposing my ideas or will. Just thought you might want to know how I saw it. I am simply perplexed by the whole thing. I would not even make a decision without conferring with you, Raz, PDC and the people who frequent the board for that matter.
P.S. And I found it odd that you pop in an hour before the tasting and leave, then set a date for the next one and say you can't make that one but instead of simply changing the date since you knew so far in advance you set up the next date and give the 15th to PDC. It's all just very weird to me. Very, very weird.
