It's called a master patient index (MPI).

MMRF does not have one, and to the person who sent me a private message and said that the patients unique ID is a fax number.

Let me comment that without a master patient index its just a image management system.


All its doing is managing TIF files (faxes)

They added HL7 but they didnt add a MPI.

I can't argue with you if you don't know anything about how an EMR works under the covers, if today was the first time you have heard the terms MPI and HL7 please please don't tell me I am wrong.
