Trend1, when a political party has beliefs and a platform that goes contrary to God's Word, then I do not support those policies or that political party. The Bible is the standard or plumb line for determining what is right.
The real question for you is, Who do you say Jesus is? All of the other politically correct questions are just distractions and rabbits to chase.
The Bible says Jesus is Love, but the Bible does not say that love is Jesus. Trying to love others is not a substitute for knowing Jesus.
The Bible says that if we know Jesus THEN we will do good works which the Lord has prepared for us. The Bible does not say to do good works to get to heaven.
Anyone who wants wisdom and understanding about the Bible should pray to God and ask for it. Jesus stands at the door and knocks. Each person has to open the door and ask Him in.
