I was the same way. I stopped playing the promos for a while. I bought in here yesterday at 1.35 and again at 1.17. I've learned to pick ones that they would promo for at least a week or two. I watch to see how much it goes up the first day or two. Then I look for it to fall way down and try to buy as low as possible. A lot of people will hold and hope it goes back over the price where they bought on the first couple of days. Therefore, you'll be in a position to make a profit. I could sell now and walk away with a profit but "GREED" is a mother. I will try and wait till it gets closer to 2.
