We know that scanners at airports do not detect explosives, just bombs (there is a difference).
It is true that IMSC could be out there with a PR discussing their capabilities detecting PETN and their ability to thwart the new threat, but I think they are right to wait for the product to be fully qualified by TSA before they strike up the band, so to speak. It is frustrating to wait but I believe it will be worth it.
