Hopefully we'll get you straightened out on this setup Qui..in the meantime I have some head rattling to do about TDI.This is really the first time I have taken a serious look at the technical aspects of TDI..but I think it has merit for a tech indie...I came to realize also that its seems to be a fancy version of the STI(2,5) indicator I designed back in 2007 which is still being used by countless Ihub chartists to this day.In its base form TDI uses RSI 2 and RSI 7 overlayed whereas I used 2,5.I designed mine for equities and daily charts but it worked nicely on all TFs.I was also noticeing that the levels on TDI have no serious technical merit at 62 and 38 because tho they are at fib levels theres no logic since the levels are not fib levels but RSI levels.Having said that then logic dictates that the levels for TDI should be 30 50 and 70("oversold" through "overbought" RSI levels). On this version w alerts I have set levels based on RSI levels..the 3 I just mentioned...and I found then that the market reacts appropriately to these level...even on an M1 chart.
The 34 period market baseline is fine so for now I will keep it and the upper/lower volatility bands I will keep since the represent 1.618 upper and lower levels relationship to the midline or market base line.On the version of TDI we are discussing I like the 2nd signal line at 9 periods rather than its default 18 so I'll keep that.
I am giving TDI a logical overhaul based on technical characteristics that the market follows. Will keep you informed of any other developments if you like.
