who did this "shareholder" buy their cert from?

so is that the plan? mr grabowski was only reimbursed the purchase price, so this "shareholder" profited from mr grabowski. now mr grabowski must sell his cert to someone else at a profit to come out ahead?
sounds like some variation on a pyramid scheme.
