It will be a little different this time. Those being "rude and unlettered" being largely of limited resources and certainly no forethought will be least likely to come though this "hell on Earth".
So, it's a question of location, luck and the stupidity of denial that will promote this tendency to do their own "self-culling".
False starts also weed out the "on the fence" types. So interestingly, those who remain were either prepared, in the right place, or awful damn lucky!
Life will certainly be easier and far less contentious without those whose "personal philosophy" has proven it has not sustained them.
