Whatever did I say in my post that could ever cause you to accuse me of cheering on murderers? Truth be told - There's a fair chance that over the last 1500 years or so Christians have likely tortured or killed more people than Muslims. Even though I'm not a believer I can truly appreciate all contributions made by those who are to the advancement of man...despite their individual paths. Condemnation of a group because of the actions of a few may be politically and societally advantageous, but that doesn't make it right...does it?

Likewise...parroting the mantra of those profiting heavily from it is hardly intelligent is it?



Why aren't conservatives more critical of Christianity?

After all, Christianity completes the Abrahamic triumvirate of ancient religious worldviews does it not? All three share the same basic strictures and demands upon human behavior with the basic differences being derived from societal requirements within each group.

Islam is hardly the only system in which those adhering to the most primitive values are portrayed to represent their faith when in truth they do not. As I'm sure you're aware, Judaism and Christianity are also in constant conflict with those who would turn back the clock to easier times when simpler beliefs held sway...and power.

Conservatism...whether religious or political...is obviously poisonous when its only goal is a return to lost times. Conversely, when its values are applied in moderation to temper the inherent effusiveness of liberal thought greatness is possible.

Simplistic condemnation of one of the world's largest belief systems due to the horrific acts of a minuscule minority smacks more of dog-whistle rabble rousing than honest problem elucidation by thoughtful leaders.
