The actual grain cost in our (non-meat, non-dairy ) foods is a trivial fraction of their consumer price. Meat especially but also dairy takes time for reduced input costs surface to the the consumer (if they do and are not masked by other factors like increased demand offsetting reduced price)
PS continued catchup on precipitation deficit weather could lead to reduced yield from corn mouth and smutt
