Your mid-managers presumably actually do work and produce something of value. A company like GDSM has never produced anything but pissed off investors. Why would Shea throw himself in with this bunch? Because times are tough in the mine promotion business, and he sees this as an opportunity to make an easy $10K a month. He's got bills to pay....
