LOL yourself. There's nothing fragile about Intel's temperature sensitivity, it's quite stable in the proper environment. As for the power, this is something even Britney Spears knows. Open boxes are days long gone away. Been there, done that, and wouldn't do it today. That's why there's throttling.

I wouldn't run an Opteron open box either.
