I agree with this statement(s) completely. The whole Google RR is just hanging over VRNG head like a black cloud. Once that is removed and the price settles back down(if there is a run) this company should be a good longer term hold. There's no predicting how litigation over patents will turn out but ZTE, NOK & MS (patents from MS) should be positive for the long term future of VRNG.

That being said, I think VRNG is a fine choice for a speculative patent investment, within the confines of a larger balanced portfolio. They have a great litigation team and experienced winners (Cohen @ NOK). The opportunity that I would like to invest in is the NOK mobile infrastructure portfolio VRNG holds. Unfortunately, it's not possible to make an investment in that opportunity while the dispute with GOOG is unresolved -- as the dispute has taken over the market's perception of VRNG and what a fair valuation may be.
