I listen for any good / bad news but so far it seems the media can never be trusted. Only thing you can trust is official company documentation and statements. They legally have to give correct information, though can be somewhat vague at times.

Listen to earnings report statements before jumping into something... it might surprise you by their tone, what you can't read.

My biggest rule is not to play sub-dollar stocks. One day when I have extra cash to lose I will... but not risking the boat on it.

I like playing things like BAC when it was at $5.00 a share for 1 day in 20+ years.

It's a certain win. What's funny is BAC bought THEIR OWN SHARES to keep it from closing under $5!!!

Crazy crap that you'd never expect someone to have the balls to do. But, they did it and made a profit off themselves lol.

Big companies in the ditch aren't always winners but you have a better risk ratio usually. Now 1 yr after that BAC one day wonder...it's $15 and still going back up to $25. EA games did almost the same crap, bottomed out at about $8.00 and now are at $24ish since the new console generation is hitting.

I guess what I'm saying is trust facts like that, that a new age of video games will hit and game companies were down for the reason of a 7 year long console ride etc.

The good prey is the one you stalk and wait for the right moment.
