ShantaGold Joint venture in the Lupa Goldfields with GBG
An 80:20 agreement with Canadian quoted Great Basin Gold exploration covering >2,500 km² in the Chunya district of Mbeya region.

Shanta Gold has an exciting portfolio of gold mining projects covering all stages of the development and production process. The main focus is on the under developed ex-colonial mining areas in south western Tanzania known as the Lupa Goldfields. Here Shanta Gold is establishing a dominating presence through the 100% owned New Luika gold mine, operational and producing gold from Q3 2012. Shanta Gold also has a joint venture to explore and develop Great Basin Gold’s large prospective acreage adjacent to New Luika.
