OT: Yes, and the only other two teams with 20 or more wins are the Spurs (21-7) and the Dallas Mavericks (20-7).

The Spurs beat the Pistons in the Championship series last year and then added Nick Van Exel and Michael Finley. So it's not exactly like they hurt themselves in the off season. Parker and Manu both have another year's experience under their belt, or Spandex if you prefer. Bowen and Horry are, well, Bowen and Horry. Nesterovic looks to be on track for one of his better years.

Duncan is Duncan.

And if Manu, a certifiable starting All Star, is agreeable to coming off the bench (as he says he is), then the Spurs arguably have their best team yet as well.

But it's an excruciatingly long season and luck and injuries have yet to raise their ugly heads.

I'm not chatting up the home team because I live here, but because they're imminently chattable. Period.
