Centurycom (el al), if you reread my post it says that the drug comes up because it is a FDA approved drug and only list the name Belviq and dosage. However, if you actually check the formulary, you will not find Beliviq listed as a drug that is reimbursed by Tricare. Now type in Ambien in search tool. Click on Ambien and then you get a another screen indicating Ambien is in the basic core formulary and the cost for military members. This means the drug is covered by Tricare. You will not get this information for Belviq because it is not in the Tricare formulary and therefore it is not covered by Tricare. Please do this little bit of DD and report back what you found.
