Belviq is not on the TRICARE formulary. If you type in Belviq with the formulary search tool http://pec.ha.osd.mil/formulary_search.php?submenuheader=1 the name Belviq comes up with approved dose because it has been approved by the FDA; however, this does not mean it has been included on the formulary.

Here is the link for the DOD basic core formulary drugs: http://pec.ha.osd.mil/bcf.php?submenuheader=1 Belviq is not on this list.
Here is the link to extended core formulary drugs:http://pec.ha.osd.mil/ecf.php?submenuheader=1 Belviq is not on this list.
Here is the list non formulary drugs (these are drugs approved for reimbursement that are not carried by every military pharmacy) http://pec.ha.osd.mil/nonform.php?submenuheader=1
Belviq is not on this list.

So please understand that currently Belviq is not approved by TRICARE and stop spreading things that are currently not true. You can also call ANY military TRICARE provider and ask them if Belviq is in the TRICARE formulary. These are just the facts and posting misleading info just shows a lack of doing your due diligence.
