These numbers are scary indeed, but are no where near the truth.
These are only the ones we know about. Most sex crimes go unreported. Most offenders offend more than once and usually until caught; far too many never get caught. Male victims rarely if ever speak of being raped. Rape is only a small part of sex crimes and it is an evil sickness above most others.
Talk to the police and cops will tell you the ugliest part of their job is the sex crimes, especially the ones dealing with children. I believe in rehabilitation and giving people a chance, but over 90% of all sex offenders will offend as soon as they get out of jail.
This may sound harsh, but let's give them help the fist time, the second time either put them away for life, or better yet, just kill the sickos for they proven they will keep on doing evil. Why should We The People let anybody damage five to hundreds of people forever in their lifetime? And most of them children.
