Gap and Trap= A contrived, imagined, made up scenario whereby the bid and ask are separated by a large "gap" when volume is at a minimum. Buyers are forced to buy at a very high price, while "forces" supposedly "bushwhack" the bid, "trapping" the buyer at a much higher price.

Generally, this imagined event is proclaimed by those who have missed out on their opportunity to buy at a much lower price, and now are raising the specter of foul play, in order to scare shares out of weak hands, and into their own.
