well Bert I do consider us friends, at least online so I will just agree to disagree. You see why I think there is no "shared" responsibility is GZ is under no obligation to do what the police say. What he did was not illegal, in fact it was what he was SUPPOSED to be doing. As the property security he was supposed to keep an eye on the property, period.

And it was brought out that GZ said he followed TM to see where the last spot he was seen before GZ lost him and its my understanding that he was getting the last building number location to give to the cops.

This is where things go off the rails for those that think GZ was wrong. I am sorry but he was doing what he was supposed to do. Think for one minute and allow me this argument. If GZ confronted TM, held him in check or backed him into a corner, even pulling his gun to do so and a confrontation developed, YES I am completely in agreement that he shares some responsibility. BUT HE DID NOT

If he had known or had any idea TM would have attacked him, I bet you he would have stayed in the truck. You are buying into the narrative that he was followed because he was black and thats the only reason. NO WAY

He was following him because of all the break ins that happened and now he was slipping away before the police arrived and he wanted to stay in visual contact until they arrived, in other words DOING HIS JOB.

So dont buy into that BS Bert, that dog dont hunt. Your making conjecture here about why this and why that. GZ did nothing more than he was hired to do and what he was legally able to do. Watch the property, carry a concealed weapon and call the police.

Did anyone ever ask themselves what do they expect the police to say when GZ told them he was going to follow him. They always say no and its because of the safety of their officers, PERIOD.

You know something else, to the best of my knowledge the police had no idea GZ was armed and they still told him not to follow. They are always going to tell people not to follow, period.

GZ was doing what he was supposed to do which was keep an eye on the property and call police. It was TM that escalted the confrontation and GZ has, in my mind, no culpability or accountability in this what so ever. Every action he took was by the book and legal, even when he went against the police orders he did nothing illegal.

just my take

thanks
