Dear Trade Ideas,
Please, explain what is the DayRange that comes in some types of alerts, how is it displayed in the product and how to interpret its value received from ActiveX ?
I'm seeing nothing about DayRange in Help document for the product.
All that is very confusing.
Look at the data I've got today:
Here are the Alerts on Symbol ENG 12/23/2005 displayed using Trade Idea’s great ActiveX control:
# 12 PUD: 8:31:47 AM ENG Up 11% for the day. DayRange: 1
# 13 NHP: 8:31:47 AM ENG New High: +0.03. Next resistance 9.20 from 11/3/2005. DayRange: 1
# 14 NHBF: 8:32:09 AM ENG New High Bid: +0.01 DayRange: 1
# 15 TSPD: 8:32:34 AM ENG Moved: c in 46 seconds. DayRange: 0.1667
# 16 TSSD: 8:32:34 AM ENG Moved: -0.05 in 46 seconds. DayRange: 0.1667
# 17 NHBF: 8:33:15 AM ENG New High Bid: +0.01 DayRange: 0.1667
# 18 NHBF: 8:33:29 AM ENG New High Bid: +0.02 DayRange: 0.3333
# 19 TSSU: 8:33:34 AM ENG Moved: +0.03 in 60 seconds. DayRange: 0.6667
Etrade shows:
Yesterday Close 7.64
Today's Open 8.44
Stock Price for Alerts # 12 $ 8.5
Stock Price for Alerts # 15 $ 8.45
So the question is WHAT DOES IT MEAN DayRange: 0.1667 in alert #15 and later?
Alert says the price dropped only on -0.5% so I would expect the DayRange 0.995, why is it 0.1667???
Trade-Ideas Window ActiveX Control doc explains:
DayRange:
This floating point field corresponds to the Range for the Day field in the product. 0.0 means the last trade was the low for the day. 1.0 means the last trade was the high for the day. The value can be outside of these bounds. The value can be NAN to say that there is no appropriate value to display for this field.
I would expect the same from the alert, but how to interpret DayRange: 0.1667?
What type of alerts can be used to find current price or at least current percent for given Symbol?
For example how to find what is current percent for the moment when EMG is dropping between PUD alerts?
Thanks, and I hope to hear from you soon as my subscription day comes.
