I think it makes a lot of difference. Bubblemania is destroying more than just the markets. And investors are and will continue to be driven from rigged markets. If your interest is only for short term gain at the expense of long term pain then this is the place to be. But you cannot build much that way and you can destroy a lot. It's the same mentality that the TBTF banks have. They could care less about what happens to the country or what happens tomorrow as long as they can plunder at will today. And there's not much an average investor can do about it. I play the game but I would like to see these guys get their comeuppance.
