Given that there is an innate fear of addiction to insulin when using needles among a large percentage of India people, most people abandon modern (injection) treatment for more native treatments.

Since it is unlikely that with the continuous urbanization and subsequent increase of obesity & decrease of physical activity coupled with the inherent insulin resistance found in Indian people, the sales of the oral treatment will quickly surpass the current treatments in a country where 70 million people are expected to be diagnosed with diabetes by 2015.
