It seems to me that your question is better suited to the "one" investor, or remaining members of the investor group. John left his position with the board some time ago, and would probably only be guessing as to why candidates haven't been seated. ("Neo" is a reference to a character in the "Matrix" series of movies, also known as "the one" - didn't mean to be obscure)

I cannot state it any clearer: the implication, IMO, is that Neo didn't want to seat a board period, regardless of who proposed whom, but went through the motions for appearances' sake. That strategy worked as long as someone was on the other side of the table, fighting. As to why no board members have been seated since John left - I submit that that question is far better answered by Tony, Matt, and the remaining investor group members.
