You make truly excellent points.

I keep asking myself why a CEO who is widely respected in China's energy complex and successfully ran a growing and profitable business for many, many years would suddenly turn crooked and try to scam or defraud investors after successfully completing a substantial acquisition?

There have admittedly been some problems with a few Chinese micro-cap companies and there have been accounting and other irregularities, but why does that somehow indict Longwei Petroleum? Guilt by association enjoys no legal standing in either Chinese Law or U.S. Law.
